Project Director

Level: Management

Purpose

Working in a senior role within the Client Operations team you will be responsible for overseeing and managing one large scale Healthcare project throughout its life cycle. Ensuring the project is delivered to the highest standard, on time and to the agreed budget. This will include supporting overall day-to-day execution of the programme, building strong internal and external relationships, managing multiple sites, and collaborating with multiple stakeholders.

 

Measuring the success of the project is a critical part of the role as meeting the client’s KPIs and expectations is key. Nurturing the client relationship at a senior level and networking across the client business to inform and educate other areas of our business with the goal of achieving revenue growth.

Principle Duties

  • Directly and indirectly manage a Project Team, to ensure effective management and delivery of a large-scale Healthcare project.
  • Act as the client escalation and senior client lead for any complex elements of the project to ensure delivery to the highest standard.
  • Oversee financial management across all aspects of the project to assess overall margin and profit contribution. Interrogating budgets and identifying scope for improvement.
  • Closely monitor the KPI’s and objectives as agreed by the client to ensure that we are meeting or exceeding these.
  • Establish reporting strategies and processes, defining clear reporting parameters to be implemented across the project to demonstrate performance.
  • Analyse and interrogate the results captured and identify improvements and project enhancements where appropriate.
  • Oversee implementation of SOPs across the project, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Present detailed, project reports to the Client Operations Director and other internal departmental stakeholders monthly.
  • Team personnel management, including recruitment planning, performance management and legal responsibilities.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships and communication with sites and site staff
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members
  • Feed into the monthly financial board reports, ensuring 100% accuracy on figures and forecasts.
  • Co-ordinate with wider company departments to support the overall business objectives.
  • Gather client and industry intelligence, share this with the Commercial teams to support Business Development, where appropriate support with proposal and pitch documents.
  • Communicate and engage the Exec team in key decisions and updates to ensure full transparency across all projects.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 – 7 years’ experience in an events/marcoms role
  • Proven experience of managing multifaceted, complex projects
  • Management and development of dedicated account personnel
  • Strong experience in wider marketing disciplines
  • Presentational and communication experience at senior level

Other Requirements

  • Full UK residency and hold a valid driving license and have suitable transport provisions
  • Able to travel throughout the UK and Overseas

Account Manager

Working with as an integral part of the Client Operations team the Account Manager will support a Project Director and lead a project team to manage one large scale Healthcare project throughout its life cycle. Ensuring the project is delivered to the highest standard, on time and to the agreed budget. Building strong internal and external relationships, managing multiple sites, and collaborating with multiple stakeholders as well as measuring the success of the project against the client’s objectives.

  • Awareness and understanding of what it takes to manage a deliver a complex project

Principle Duties

  • Provide input on the event project launch strategy including the creative design and fit out and preparation of SOPs.
  • Monitor the launch deliverables through critical path management.
  • Manage the overall budget for the project, ensuring all costs are captured and factored into the project budget.
  • Complete all budget reporting to accurately track progress and share internal budget reports alongside monthly client updates.
  • Review and monitor margin analysis, project management time and report profitability monthly.
  • Implement specific process documents and standard operating procedures to ensure efficient project delivery and management.
  • Act as the client lead and the main contact at every stage of the project and keep internal stakeholders informed with the status of the project.
  • Implement clear measurement and evaluation methods and processes.
  • Develop and produce regular reports to be shared internally and with the client to demonstrate how the project is tracking against the agreed KPI’s
  • Undertake regular liaison with clients including quarterly review meetings
  • Continually assess EMS processes to identify areas of increased effectiveness and efficiencies
  • Ensure all reporting is up to date, detailed and accurate, for both client and internal purposes.
  • Adhere to EMS management processes and foster this within the team.
  • Manage account team as well as train, plan career development, and undertake appraisals.
  • Develop client reporting and project evaluations to add value to client experience.

 

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an events / Account Manager role
  • Proven experience of financial management, budget control and achieving margin growth
  • Management of dedicated account personnel and proven ability to motivate
  • Proven experience of managing and delivering complex projects
  • Experience in delivering presentations at a senior level
