Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Trust wins high commendation at HSJ Partnership Awards
It was a celebratory night for Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust at the HSJ Partnership Awards 2023 as they won a High Commendation for their mobile approach to addressing health inequalities across the region.

Using an Outreach, EMS Healthcare's first innovative self-drive solution, Cheshire and Wirral Partnership are working to address health inequalities by improving access to care through the Living Well Buses. The service provides on-the-spot vaccinations, physical health checks, wellbeing and mental health support in the heart of communities.
As the first of its kind nationally, within 8 months of the project launching, the Living Well Buses has delivered:
- 11,000 vaccinations
- 8,000 physical health checks
- 380 mobile clinics at sites including homeless shelters, learning disability day centres and mental health crisis cafes
This is a fantastic achievement to be recognised for the impact the service is having across Cheshire and Merseyside, helping to deliver vital healthcare services to underserved communities.
