Dr Claire Sears Appointed Co-Chair of SCRS European Committee
The Society for Clinical Research Sites (SCRS) today announced the appointment of Dr. Claire Sears, Head of Business Optimisation, as Co-Chair of its European Committee.

EMS Healthcare is delighted to announce that Dr Claire Sears, Head of Business Optimisation, has been appointed Co-Chair of the Society for Clinical Research Sites (SCRS) European Committee.
With over 20 years of experience in clinical research, Claire brings extensive expertise in site strategy, feasibility, and partnerships. Her appointment underscores EMS Healthcare’s ongoing commitment to improving access to clinical research and reducing barriers to participation.
Claire commented on her new role:
"The SCRS European Site Solutions Summit is invaluable for clinical research professionals committed to site sustainability - offering a platform to connect people and ideas that drive development and learning in the field. I’m honoured to take on this role to support and advocate for the site community alongside my co-chair, Almenia Garvey."
She added: "I’m looking forward to building on the work of our predecessor, Piotr Sawicki, strengthening strategic connections and supporting solution-focused discussions across Europe."
The SCRS European Committee brings together experts from research sites, solution providers, CROs, and sponsors to guide activities for the annual European Site Solutions Summit. Claire's first Summit event in her new role took place at this year’s event in Lisbon on 24–25 February 2025.
