Working Together to Provide Extra Testing Capacity

With an urgent request from the Department of Health & Social Care (DHSC), the EMS Group were asked to mobilise as many vehicles as possible to provide a weather-proof solution to the existing and future local COVID-19 testing infrastructure.

Within 6 days of receiving confirmation of the project we had deployed the first vehicle. In total, the group provided 38 temporary testing facilities that significantly bolstered testing throughput across the UK - increasing capacity by up to 120,000 tests per week. The 38 units have helped the NHS Test and Trace programme deliver on its mission of identifying and driving down COVID-19 cases.
