Be Breast Aware

City and Hackney PCT wanted a high-profile consumer roadshow to run during national breast cancer awareness month. The objective was to raise awareness of breast cancer among local women of all ages, and to share prevention information and advice.

Communications Manager, City and Hackney PCT said “The results of this breast cancer awareness roadshow campaign have exceeded our expectations and it has been great to work with EMS again. We’ve found that face to face campaigns like this are the perfect way to communicate vital health prevention messages directly to local people- reaching them right where they are rather than waiting for them to visit their GP’s surgery."

The Result

2,122 local woman visited the roadshow for information and advice

968 people took part in the daily touch-screen quiz to win £100 of Marks and Spencer vouchers

1,206 branded ‘Be Breast Aware’ promotional bags were handed out
