RAPID RESPONSE TO SURGE VACCINATION

Following a local increase in the COVID-19 Delta variant, an urgent request was taken from NHS teams in Bolton, Blackburn and Manchester to support a renewed push for vaccine uptake and community engagement.

EMS Healthcare supported the rapid rollout across the region by mobilising our quick response vaccination units directly into the heart of the communities.

Working with the local teams, we site surveyed suitable locations and dropped the units in to position with a few days notice. Each mobile unit contained 6 or more vaccination booths and was fully compliant with HTMs and HBMs. 

Our operations team remained on standby throughout the project to ensure that any urgent redeployments could be actioned within 24 hours of confirmation. 

Since launch, the units have gone on to support vaccine roll out in Haslingden and Chelmsford, and will continue to provide rapid infrastructure solutions as the NHS advances Phase 2 and 3 of its COVID-19 vaccination programme.
