Mobile Decontamination Units
EMS Healthcare were the first to launch a mobile decontamination unit in the UK back in 2017. Since then, we have continued to innovate to meet the demands of over 15 trusts across the country. We are proud to support the UK’s response to growing waiting lists and provided trusts with the flexibility to manage refurbishments and redevelopments with relative ease.
Our mobile decontamination units are designed to increase reprocessing capacity, but take up minimal footprint on the hospital estate. Trusts can choose from a fleet of unit options with endoscope reprocessing capacities ranging from 60 to 240 per day to meet their individual requirements.See Our Range of Decontamination Units
“Without the Quest+ Decontamination unit, we were facing a period of sustained disruption to services and patients. EMS Healthcare came to us with a solution that could not only prevent this from happening, but could create significant efficiencies for the department.”
HTM compliant and designed in accordance with the latest JAG guidelines, our fleet of mobile decontamination units can help hospitals overcome a range of challenges. Trusts can choose from our suite of units holding two, four, six or eight RAPIDAER™ Endoscope Reprocessors to provide the flexibility to match their individual reprocessing requirements.
- Provide urgent additional capacity to help reduce waiting lists after the pandemic resulted in some of the largest endoscopy backlogs on record.
- Maintain throughput during building and refurbishment works that can limit capacity in existing decontamination departments.
- Provide continuity of service during decontamination equipment downtime i.e. during the replacement of equipment every 8-10 years.
- Each unit is supplied with an integral RO plant, advanced track and trace system and a Gold Service Package provided by Cantel UK, guaranteeing an eight-hour engineer response time to ensure 98% uptime of each AER.
"We brought one of the first Quest+ units onto the Trust estate into 2018 and it was fantastic for us, but we soon found we needed more capacity. That’s when we gave EMS Healthcare a call about getting a larger unit, they didn’t have one on their fleet but redesigned one of their existing units to accommodate our requirements. Quad arrived at Glenfield Hospital a few months later. EMS Healthcare have been a pleasure to work with and they’ve really paid attention to all the little details. Quad’s also helping out with our JAG accreditation so we’re really happy.”
